For someone currently in a place of wanting a better life, the idea of “enjoy the little things” and “take it day by day” is easier said than done. The weight on your shoulders is a burden not easily fixed by positivity. Anyone that’s experienced depression or loneliness in their lives might be inclined to agree.
 
Upon relistening to Someone New by Hozier for the first time in years, the idea of “the art of scraping through” really stuck out to me. Instead of forcing a beauty in the world, it creates beauty in just trying day by day, beauty in your forms of distraction. Maybe one day I will be okay, and maybe one day you will be too.
